Ten Hag issues message to youngsters

Erik ten Hag has given Manchester United’s youth players a chance to join his senior squad, but he has also cautioned that it won’t be simple.

The 31-man group, which travelled on Friday from Manchester to Bangkok, included a number of Academy graduates who were expecting for a chance to push their claim during Tour 2022.

Charlie Savage, Zidane Iqbal, Alejandro Garnacho, and promising players like Nathan Bishop, Matej Kovar, Ethan Laird, James Garner, Facundo Pellistri, and Amad were also on board the trip.

Prior to Tuesday’s Tour 2022 opening against Liverpool, which will be shown live on MUTV, Ten Hag gave a clear message to each of the young players on his team.

“What I want to see is that they develop, but that they also demonstrate that they are worthy of a role in elite football, “He was adamant. “Your place must be earned. It implies that you must perform every day, which necessitates a particular lifestyle that they must adapt to but possibly aren’t aware of yet.
