Report: Liverpool reject offer for their ‘machine’ and will hold out for their entire asking price

According to sources, Liverpool turned down the opening bid for Neco Williams. They’ll fight for the whole amount they’ve requested.

The Daily Mail is where I got this. They assert that Liverpool has turned down Nottingham Forest’s initial offer for Neco Williams.

Their justification is also straightforward: Liverpool wants to pay their full asking price for the player and is confident they will succeed. This price of £15 million is consistent with nearly all of the reports on Williams from the previous month.

Not just Forest, though, are interested in signing the Welsh player. He is also interested in Fulham, Southampton, and PSV Eindhoven, all of whom are intriguing possibilities.

Williams spent the second half of last season there, when he contributed to the Cottagers’ Championship victory, thus Fulham is obviously the natural pick. But now that Djibril Sidibé has left AS Monaco on a free transfer, they are taking a look at him.

The most seasoned Premier League team, Southampton, can provide a right-back starting position. What would happen in 2023 when Tino Livramento recovers from his ACL injury is the big unknown.

The most intriguing of the group may be PSV. They are a club that fiercely competes for the Eredivisie championship and excels at player development. However, they have also recently taken on loan Ki-Jana Hoever, a right-back who was a young player for Liverpool.

In our opinion, Williams is worth at least £15 million, but will other teams agree? Because another loan decision could drive up his price even higher, we don’t necessarily see it as a bad thing if they don’t.

In light of this, transferring him to Fulham or PSV for a little period of time might prove advantageous, even though it’s still a little risky. Then, we’ll have to wait and see what Liverpool thinks. However, we encourage them to firmly maintain that pricing.
